Melting coolness

Cold, heavy stone – could that be any good? Yes, sometimes this can be the most soothing thing you can place on your forehead, neck and shoulders – or on a muscle that’s taken a knock!

Ergostone is both a heat and cold pack, offering the sensation of soft, weighty, mouldable jelly. In fact, the silicone shell contains completely dry, finely ground grains of pure soapstone; a Swedish natural product with unique properties.

Experience the tactile sensation of melting coolness in the summer heat. Or – if you’re having a bit of a rough day – relieve pain and swelling with rapid cooling on your affected body part!

Ice-cold and sustainable

An Ergostone soapstone cushion has a wide range of uses because the material is so versatile. Cooling is just one of them. As a cooling aid, Ergostone works by immediately reducing blood flow and numbing pain signals. Cooling is a classic method for treating acute soft tissue injuries and alleviating the symptoms of swelling and inflammation.

The Ergostone cushion can be used time and time again – and its use can also alternate between heat and cold therapy. The cushion can withstand ‘anything’ (provided it is not abused or seriously misused) and is an investment for very long-term future use.

The Täljsten sand is in itself indestructible, and the silicone shell is of the highest quality to ensure it is as durable and resilient as possible.

Soapstone in sand form

Soapstone retains heat and cold in a way that surpasses most other materials, entirely due to the geological forces that created it. Consequently, soapstone can only be extracted in a few places in the world, and several of these sites have been known since ancient times.

The soapstone in the Ergostone cushions comes from Handöl in Jämtland, where soapstone has been quarried and processed for more than 500 years. In its sand form, the material retains all its unique properties, including a superior ability to slowly radiate heat or coolness.

It certainly represents a completely new way of using soapstone, adapted to the needs of the modern world.
