Take great care of your hunting partner!

Give your working dog the best conditions to perform at its peak in the woods and fields! When you're well prepared, you can forget everything else and concentrate on what you do, see and experience - together with a healthy and resilient dog, day after day.

We at Back on Track have extensive experience of the needs of the hard-working dog. Our dog coats are used by dogs belonging to both private owners and public authorities, in all kinds of situations and environments. We are happy to share our experience with you, so that you can enjoy fantastic days out in nature together, without anything interfering with your teamwork!

The right clothing and equipment play a crucial role in the forests and fields: any experience will be more enjoyable if your muscles and joints are soft and mobile, and you feel warm and dry. This, of course, also applies to your most important hunting companion!

Unique textiles for unique performances

A hunting dog is exposed - and enthusiastically exposes itself - to a variety of special circumstances. The forest and field environment is tough and demanding, with varying terrain and sometimes unforeseen difficulties. The dog's mind-set also makes it is absolutely devoted to its task, with no restraint or thoughtful management of its energy. This places unique demands on the products that active dogs use.

At Back on Track, we have developed a large range of dog products that take good care of the working dog – and help the dog owner to provide the best care possible for their dog.

Our dog coats are characterised by their durability, their functional materials and their easy-to-use, well-thought-out design. But in addition, Back on Track's dog products also contain a therapeutic FIR technology (Welltex® or Iontex®, depending on the material) that reflects body heat in the form of far infrared energy (FIR).

FIR is well known for boosting circulation and blood flow - which can be of great benefit both before and after physical exertion. The effect supports performance, but also helps with relaxation, rest and recovery.

These are our top tips:

The first tip is more or less obvious: take great care of your dog all year round so that your best friend can perform at its best when it needs to! Of course, systematic training and proper feeding are needed long before the hunt to build up the dog's muscles and other body systems in a balanced way. The dog will need sufficient muscle mass to avoid rapid fatigue, as this increases both the risk of injury and the need for rest. It shouldn't come as a surprise to your dog that it is expected to work alongside you!

Use our dog coats during preparation and warm-up

Because Back on Track dog coats contain our FIR technology, they provide a stimulating effect known to support blood flow. This help soften the muscles and has a beneficial effect on circulation. A dog coat also protects your dog from the elements. Cold, rain, humidity and wind can make your dog feel cold and stiff - of course, depending on the breed and other factors such as age. We offer both thin mesh coats and water-repellent coats, as well as coats with filling for those cold days.

Let your dog benefit from the therapeutic properties of a FIR technology during the car ride.

When your dog is sitting still during transport, it's the perfect time to wrap it in a dog coat containing Welltex® or Iontex®. Many of our customers also use a dog bed or a large blanket with FIR for their dog to lie down on. This reduces the risk of it stiffening up and also contributes to increased well-being.

Let your dog dry off in a dog coat

In wet and humid weather, or if your dog retrieves in water - or if he's just a water lover - it's important that it dries quickly and doesn't get cold. This will otherwise increase the risk of water tail - a dreaded condition as it occurs quickly and causes the dog significant pain and suffering. In the worst case, the dog's contribution to the hunting day comes to an abrupt end.

The materials used in our water-repellent dog coats are highly breathable, meaning they keep the rain out but allow moisture to evaporate from the body. Our materials are also moisture-wicking, which means they absorb and wick away water. Covering up the dog will also in and of itself make it easier for it to regain a comfortable body temperature and stay warm.

Support recovery with the help of FIR!

After a strenuous day of work, your dog needs to rest. It may even be that your dog is completely exhausted - but only shows it when its work is done. The stimulating effect of FIR is used also for its ability to support and speed up recovery. Again, this is due to more efficient blood flow, which in turn brings both oxygen and nutrients to tired muscles. The effect is often perceived to relieve exercise pain, swelling and soreness in both muscles and joints.

How do Back on Track's textile technologies work?

Each Back on Track product is a unique combination of high-performance functional materials and the effect of far infrared energy.

Back on Track's dog coats and joint supports contain minerals that absorb the low-intensity far infrared (FIR) energy radiating from the dog's body as part of its body heat. The minerals then emit this beneficial form of energy, which penetrates the tissues and stimulates circulation and blood flow.

This is the principle behind Back on Track's textile technologies, which are often found to relieve problems of stiffness, pain and inflammation in muscles and joints. The increased blood flow supports the body's own healing processes, softening and helping to effectively oxygenate the tissues.
