BARK, BAY or BUDDY for my dog?

Back on Track sets a new standard for dog coats, combining advanced functional materials with the stimulating FIR effect. We've categorized them into three design families based on fit, making it easier than ever to choose the perfect coat for your dog's body type and needs.

Back on Track introduces three design families based on fit, with the aim of making it as easy as possible to quickly find the right dog coat.

Within each family, there are several different variants – perfectly adapted for their respective purposes, as well as for different seasons, weather, and temperatures.

If a specific dog coat fits your dog, the others in the same family will too.

BAY, BARK, and BUDDY 2.0 (the updated version of a previous BUDDY model) are all durable, practical, and functional dog coats, developed to offer maximum freedom of movement, protect against the elements – and, not least, contribute to the dog's well-being by reflecting body heat in the form of Far Infrared energy (FIR).

Through the division into three separate design families, we have been able to create dog coats with a close-fitting and body-conforming design for the overwhelming majority of dogs.

BAY - the most "universal" dog coat

The BAY dog coat has a great ability to adapt to the dog wearing it. The coat features an accommodating, expanding design that allows room for a variety of body shapes while remaining snug. We achieved this through an ingenious wrap-around cut and anatomical shaping around the chest and thigh areas.

BUDDY 2.0 - The Dachshund dog coat

The BUDDY 2.0 dog coat is designed to fit perfectly on dogs with proportionally long backs and short legs. The most typical representative of this body type is undoubtedly the Dachshund – but BUDDY also suits dogs whose build resembles that of a Dachshund, such as the Drever, Alpine Dachsbracke (Alpenländerisch deschbracke), and Basset Hound.

BARK – for the working companion

BARK is best suited for working dogs, service dogs, and breeds with a similar slender and muscular build. The BARK dog coat is the perfect gear for a hunting dog, tracking dog, or working dog in the woods and fields. It is a versatile dog coat made for activity and movement, for dogs that perform important work by your side, regardless of the weather.

The Standard Dog Coat - Our Classic

What happens to our classic Standard Dog Coat – the one with the lacing at the front – now that we are updating our assortment? It stays! The Standard Dog Coat, in its various versions, has been a cherished bestseller for more than 15 years. It takes time for something to evolve into an easily recognizable classic. It has therefore been awarded our finest distinction: the Test of Time seal.

The coat also fits well on most dogs, including those with broader chests, thanks to its adjustability. The Standard Dog Coat is something our customers return to time and again. The reason is often cited as the FIR effect.

What can FIR do for my dog?

FIR is often experienced to have the ability to alleviate discomforts such as stiffness, swelling, muscle fatigue, and the symptoms of osteoarthritis. These therapeutic properties are in turn believed to be due to increased circulation of blood and fluid in the tissues.

The mechanism is thought to be the infrared electromagnetic radiation's influence on the walls of blood vessels, causing them to dilate.

Increased blood flow leads to a more efficient exchange of oxygen, nutrients, and waste products. Thus, FIR can contribute to supporting the body's recovery. When a dog wears a dog coat from Back on Track, this can help increase well-being and keep muscles and joints warm and supple.

This effect in our dog coats is separate from other properties, which instead depend on the functional materials and vary with the choice of material. Examples of such properties include breathability, moisture-wicking ability, and water resistance. In this way, the FIR effect can be combined with a wide range of material properties, for the best possible results in all situations.

The FIR Effect Benefits Animals

The sought-after effect of infrared energy (FIR) depends on our materials' content of minerals, selected for their ability to capture and reflect body heat – regardless of whether the wearer is human or animal. Our very first products – joint- and muscle supports for rehabilitation and self-care – targeted humans.

The transition to the animal kingdom occurred when our customers, on their own initiative, began cutting up the supports and using them on their horses – with excellent, observable results!

We Want to Make the World's Best Dog Coats!

Our goal is to increase the joy of movement and contribute to a healthy and active life for all dogs. Physical activity itself is of great importance for the dog's health. Muscles are strengthened, and fitness increases. Joints are stabilized by stronger muscles, and weight is maintained at an appropriate level.

In the best-case scenario, this leads to reduced strain on the body, increased mobility, improved general condition, and reduced pain in joints affected by osteoarthritis. In cases of osteoarthritis, daily exercise and training are even a crucial part of the treatment.

Back on Track's dog coats are durable and hard-wearing, with a smart, well-thought-out design that focuses on freedom of movement and function. They keep the dog dry and comfortably warm in all weather. The FIR effect is an added benefit that we hope can make life easier and more pleasant for every dog!
