Welltex Tape

Tape for well-being There are several different types of therapeutic tape designed to protect, support or treat various structures in the body. Sports tape and kinesiology tape are the most common types – well known and often used by athletes at all levels. These tapes have different uses, but both have a purely mechanical effect on the body's tissues. Back on Track's Welltex offers something different; a ‘third option’ with a unique function. The effect of Welltex takes place deep within the body, through the supply of far infrared energy (FIR). Far infrared (FIR) is invisible electromagnetic radiation that exists just below the red-light spectrum. It passes through the surface of the skin to exert its effect deeper down in the tissues, where it stimulates circulation and blood flow. Increased blood flow in turn leads to more efficient transport of oxygen and nutrients, which provides favorable conditions for the body's own healing processes. Properties of Welltex tape Back on Track's textile tape contains minerals of the same type as those found in our regular leg and muscle supports. They are permanently embedded in the fabric threads, where they act as ‘reflectors’ for the body’s own natural thermal radiation. By capturing and reflecting body heat in the form of FIR, these minerals can generate a local effect on blood circulation, while the material simultaneously has properties that give it high breathability. Because the finely dispersed minerals are embedded in a functional material, two seemingly contradictory properties can exist simultaneously: FIR (a form of energy) is absorbed and reflected (emitted), while excess heat and moisture escape through the fabric. The tape has excellent adhesive properties and stays in place despite sweat and showers. Thanks to its ‘tape format’, the Welltex technology can be applied to areas that are difficult to access, where our joint and muscle supports do not fit or do not sit well. The dual function of Welltex tape Stability and relief: The tape can be used freely anywhere on the body. It creates a relieving layer that provides increased stability to muscles or joints. Painful tissues are helped to stay in place as the tape increases the skin's resistance. FIR effect: Far infrared is a form of energy that acts at the molecular level. It can be experienced by the body's tissues but cannot be perceived directly by sight or touch. The invisible force absorbed and emitted by Welltex can only be observed through a thermal camera. The feeling of warmth that can sometimes be clearly felt by the wearer comes from within, and is due to increased blood flow. Neither classic sports tape nor kinesiology tape! Back on Track's Welltex tape should be ‘placed’ on the problem area, so that it exerts its effect locally. The mineral content is intended to convey the effect of FIR, which aims to influence circulation by contributing to vasodilation – the widening of blood vessels. The tape should therefore not be stretched or attached in such a way that it manipulates or pulls the tissues during movement. The tape stretches and follows the body's movements – but the purpose of its elasticity is flexibility and freedom of movement, not to exert mechanical force on the skin or connective tissue for therapeutic purposes. However, the tape offers light support for muscles and joints – depending on how it is used – which provides a pleasant feeling of relief and increased stability. How to use Back on Track's Welltex tape: Place the tape on clean, bare skin that is free of oil or cream. Place the tape so that it covers the intended area and smooth it down with your hand so that it adheres properly to the skin. (read more link) What are the benefits of Welltex? Welltex®️ is an innovative textile technology based on knowledge of long-wave infrared energy (FIR) and its effects on the body. The effect occurs at the intersection of physics and biology. FIR works by boosting circulation and blood flow, which can contribute to improved performance and keep muscles and joints warm, supple and mobile. FIR has been shown to be particularly beneficial for osteoarthritis, stiffness, exercise soreness, swelling and symptoms of inflammation. Our products can be used before, during and after physical activity – as preparation, to support performance and to speed up recovery. Hence our motto: Prepare – Reform – Recover. Now also made possible with the help of tape!
