Keep your pets cool in the heat of summer!

Heat can be hard for dogs to handle, as they can't sweat like us. Prepare now for this year's heatwave - so you can always have something cooling on hand with the minimum of fuss. Dog coats, bandanas, towels and socks are now available in the smart, temperature-reducing material. Plain water is all that's needed and the instructions are as simple as can be: soak, squeeze, use!

Cooling products help your dog stay cool, alert and healthy in the heat. Above all, they reduce the risk of serious overheating and heat stroke.

Hot summer days = risk of heat stroke

It's well known that dogs get rid of excess heat mainly by panting with their mouths open. The more of the mucous membrane of the mouth that the dog can expose, the better, as the surface is full of blood vessels where the blood can be effectively cooled by flowing air. However, as the temperature rises, this method becomes more and more exhausting for the dog, and in really hot weather it soon becomes insufficient. A dog with a dense and long coat has a particularly hard time keeping its body temperature down.

Heatstroke is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the dog has failed all of its temperature-lowering strategies and its body temperature rises to 42°C. This always requires veterinary attention.

As a dog owner, it is very important to keep your dog under supervision, make sure it has a cool place to retreat to, and give it enough water to drink.

Cool on Track® - for effective cooling!

Cool on Track® is a clever functional material that can absorb large amounts of water relative to its weight. Then, as the water evaporates from the surface, through the mesh material of the outer layer, the temperature can be reduced by as much as 6°C. The material provides an intense cooling effect, which is entirely due to the natural evaporation of ordinary water. Cool on Track® contains no chemicals and does not require refrigeration or freezing. The material cools itself - and maintains its cooling effect as long as it is wet.

The products are designed to cool the dog's body where it is most effective and feels best for the dog. The dog coat cools down a large part of the dog's body, protects the back from the strong sunlight and prevents the fur from absorbing and retaining the sun's heat. It is easily fastened with hook and loop straps around the stomach and neck.

The towel can be used as a cooling sleeping pad. Dogs particularly appreciate being able to lie on something cool, as the fur is much thinner on the belly and the blood vessels are close to the skin. As the blood cools down in the superficial blood vessels, it regulates body temperature. The bandana is fastened around the dog's neck and effectively cools the superficial blood vessels in the neck and throat. The dog socks feel cool against the pads and protect the paws from hot surfaces.

Easy to use and take with you

The products in the Cool on Track® collection are easy and practical to take on trips and outings. If you have access to water, you also have access to long-term cooling for your pet. By wetting the product from time to time, it can be used from morning to night.

But just like a sponge cloth for the kitchen, a Cool on Track® product needs to be soaked and absorb water properly to become soft and pliable. As it dries, it solidifies and hardens, so it should not be bent, folded or broken when dry. As soon as it contains water, it becomes supple, cold and ready for use again and again!
